First Friday Update (No Salisbury Latin Mass)

Dear friends of the Charlotte Latin Mass Community (CLMC),

Laudetur Iesus Christus! This weekend is first Friday-Saturday and we have a few updates to share.

With many in our community participating in the first Friday devotions to the Sacred Heart, and the first Saturday devotion to the Immaculate Heart (as requested by Our Lady of Fatima), we list the following Latin Masses:

  • First Friday Latin Masses November 4: 7am (St. Ann) & 12:30pm (St. Mark)
  • First Saturday Latin Mass November 5: 10am (St. Thomas Aquinas), followed by a traditional blessing of religious objects

IMPORTANT SCHEDULE CHANGE: Salisbury 1st Sunday Latin Mass Rescheduled to Sunday November 13

Due to priest availability, the 1st Sunday Latin Mass at Sacred Heart parish in Salisbury is canceled for this weekend only. It has been rescheduled for the following weekend Sunday November 13 at 4pm. Fr. Joseph Wasswa will offer the Mass.

Annual All Souls Cemetery Visit – Sunday November 6, 3pm

As part of the All Souls novena (Nov. 1- 8), the St. Ann Homeschool Ministry and CLMC are co-sponsoring the annual visit to Belmont Abbey Cemetery this Sunday November 6 at 3pm. Fr. Reid will lead prayers at the cemetery after the 12:30pm Latin Mass. “Soul Cakes” and other treats will be available, but one is welcome to bring other treats to share afterwards. Please consider attending the 12:30pm Latin Mass, and then departing afterwards to the cemetery. We will have no coffee or donuts at St. Ann, but as noted there will be treats at the cemetery. The cemetery is located on the campus of Belmont Abbey College:

Requiem Latin Mass for Tom Savoy – Thursday November 10 at 7pm

As November is All Souls month, St. Thomas Aquinas will be offering a special Requiem Mass for the repose of Tom’s soul on Thursday November 10 at 7pm. All are welcome to attend.
