A great way to make sacrifices for the Church

Laudetur Iesus Christus! In these dim times for the Church, we have some joyful news to share with you.

We would like to re-introduce you to the Hermits of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, a traditional Catholic religious men’s community according to the ancient Carmelite charism in its original eremitical form.  These hermits (6 and growing) are establishing a foundation in Fairfield, Pennsylvania under the Bishop of Harrisburg, Ronald Gainer.

The mission of the Hermits is to provide the Traditional Mass and priestly services for the traditional Discalced Carmelite Nuns in the Carmel of Jesus, Mary & Joseph, which was also just established in Fairfield.  In fact, both the Hermits and the Nuns have ties to our community.

The challenge for the Hermits though is they were just established earlier this year and subsist entirely on alms and the charity of the faithful. This is where you can help.

Currently, the Hermits need $27,000 immediately to pay for their in-house seminary studies this year in order to complete their priestly formation. To assist them, we ask you: Would you consider making a personal donation and encourage others to do likewise?

As the Church crisis deepens and the need to make sacrifices increase, can there be a more efficacious sacrifice than supporting Carmelite Hermits whose charism is to pray and sacrifice for the purification and sanctification of the Church?  Your contributions will not only benefit the Hermits, but the cloistered nuns they serve as well as the entire Church. It’s really an exponential opportunity for making sacrifices to help the Church.
