Sunday Low Masses begin this Sunday January 28

Laudetur Iesus Christus! We thank everyone for coming to Wednesday’s talk with Ryan Grant and to learn about King Henry VIII and the conditions which lead to the martyrdom of Ss. John Fisher and Thomas More. We hope you enjoyed his presentation and hope to have the talk posted soon on our website. In the interim here are some updates:

Respect Life Latin Mass Saturday 9am at CCHS: This Saturday January 27 at 9AM, Fr. Barone will be offering a Latin Mass (Low) for the end of abortion at Charlotte Catholic High School as part of the St. Ann Respect Life Ministry/Charlotte Helpers of God’s Precious Infants pro-life groups. After Mass Father and the attendees will go over to the local abortion facility on Hebron Road to pray a Rosary for the end of abortion. All are welcome to attend. For more info visit: https://charlottehelpers.com/procession-schedule/

Sunday Low Masses begin this Sunday 9 AM at CCHS: The next day Sunday January 28 begins a wonderful gift of morning Low Mass at Charlotte Catholic High School chapel (Confessions @ 8:30 am).  The Sunday Low Mass concludes March 25.  CCHS is located at 7702 Pineville Matthews Road, Charlotte. Chapel is near the main entrance and parking is available in lot and in the parking garage.

This Mass is being offered by St. Ann (via Fr. Barone) in part to meet the growing attendance and spiritual needs of the Charlotte Latin Mass Community.  Many of you have told us you cannot always attend the 12:30 PM Mass and would like to have another Latin Mass option. This Low Mass (for the winter), is an answer to your prayers!

Although the Low Masses are only for the winter, if this does meet your needs, we encourage you to take full advantage of this earlier Mass time while it lasts (demand is key). Also please offer some extra prayers for the generosity of Frs. Reid and Barone for arranging this.

Lastly, we aren’t forgetting about the 12:30 PM Mass — especially with all the hard work Fr. Reid & the schola/choir puts in! The High Mass will continue as normal and we hope everyone will continue to support the “flagship” Latin Mass when they can this winter and we’ll continue with the usual coffee/donuts, etc.
