Laudetur Iesus Christus! We wanted to update you on St. Ann’s Christ the King Eucharistic Procession on Sunday October 30th after 12:30pm Latin Mass. In order to proclaim Christ as King – in both Heaven and in Charlotte – we invite you to process with Christ the King in the Most Holy Blessed Sacrament. Also, we invite you to honor your favorite saintly king, queen, or statesman who acknowledged Christ’s Kingship by processing with an image of them. Here’s how:
- Bring a statue, portrait or image, etc. of your favorite saintly kings, etc. You can also order one from Charlotte-based Catholic Company
- All saintly royalty and statesman are invited – servant of God, venerable, beatified, or canonized. Click here to see the list of Saints: https://charlottelatinmass.files.wordpress.com/2016/10/list-of-royal-saints.pdf
- Catholic flags & homemade banners are welcome – the more the merrier!
- We will invoke their aid on our nation and beg God to send us holy leaders
Plenary Indulgence is granted to all who recite the Act of Consecration of the Human Race to the Sacred Heart of Jesus on the Feast of Christ the King, which we will do.
After Mass we will process around the block and will conclude with reciting the consecration (2pm-2:30ish). God willing, this will be a festive day and a great opportunity to invite family and friends that don’t attend St. Ann’s or the Latin Mass.
Don’t forget!
Have you RSVP’d for Father Christian’s talk on October 27th regarding Christ the King & Blessed Karl of Austria? You will learn why this feast is important and why we are processing. The class with Fr. Jason Christian is Thurs Oct 27th at 7pm (Mass at 6pm) and a complimentary dinner meal. To RSVP please click here:
