Palm Sunday & Holy Week update

Laudetur Iesus Christus! As we close the first week of Passiontide and enter into Holy Week we have several updates to share:

Palm Sunday, April 14: St. Ann will offer a traditional Palm Sunday Latin Mass at 12:30pm. You won’t want to miss this Mass.

It will be a special Palm Sunday Traditional Latin Mass, replete with ancient ceremonies and symbolism. If you only come to Latin Mass once a month, or once a year – this is the Latin Mass you’ll want to attend.

Holy Week schedule: As noted prior, St. Ann will also offer an Easter Triduum (Holy Thursday – Saturday) at Charlotte Catholic High School chapel (CCHS/7702 Pineville-Matthews Road, Charlotte). Here is the entire Holy Week/Easter schedule with locations:

Spy Wednesday April 17: 7:00 am and 6:00 pm Low Mass (St. Ann parish). 7:00 pm High Mass (St. Thomas Aquinas)

Holy Thursday April 18: 7:00 pm Mass of the Last Supper (CCHS chapel)

Good Friday April 19: 12 noon Stations of the Cross, confessions immediately after Stations until 2pm. 3:00 pm Good Friday Mass of the Presanctified (all at CCHS chapel)

Holy Saturday April 20: 8:30 pm Easter Vigil – with light reception to follow (CCHS chapel)

Easter Sunday, April 21: 12:30 pm High Mass (St. Ann parish – as normal)

Pray for our priests: In your charity please offer some prayers for our priests. Offering these beautiful liturgies during Holy Week isn’t easy and can certainly be physically exhausting (though spiritually nourishing). Offering prayers for them is but a small token of gratitude we can offer to them and to God for these devoted priests.
