Excerpt from decree of Bishop Martin: “This chapel holds approximately 350 people … is not meant to be able to accommodate all.  I encourage you all to see [this chapel] as you would a shrine chapel that you might visit for Mass on occasion.”  “All who are currently attending the TLM will remain registered at their current parish.  There will not be any programing offered at at Little Flower Chapel other than Sunday and Holy Day Masses, so all other dimensions of Catholic life (sacramental and otherwise) are to be engaged in your local parish.”  There will be no collections, no confessions, no other sacraments, & no lay ministries.

Note: At the end of December 2023, Bishop Jugis announced that the number of Sunday Latin Masses would be reduced from six to four and that those four would only be allowed to continue until October 2, 2025.  On May 23, 2025 Bishop Michael Martin of the Diocese of Charlotte issued a decree, further implementing the previous plan initiated by Bishop Jugis, announcing the establishment of a new chapel  located in Mooresville, North Carolina.  On September 26, 2025 Bishop Martin announced that this new chapel would be named “Chapel of the Little Flower”, with Father Brandon Jones named as the Chaplain.  The Diocesan Website is www.charlottediocese.org/tlmchapel.
